Subject: A Primary Source

An invaluable account of the Gunpowder Plot written by a Jesuit Priest living at the time. The book contains both the autobiography of Father John Gerard and his specific account of the Plot derived in part from the published confessions of the men involved but also from his personal knowledge of the plotters. No enquiry into the gunpowder plot can be complete without reference to this book.
